Marcus J. Magister, M.D.

Dr. Marcus Magister joined Washington Ear, Nose and Throat in 2020. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. Dr. Magister then completed his integrated Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery residency training at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Magister, a native of Western PA, treats a wide array of ear, nose and throat conditions. He does so with an affable demeanor and the utmost attention to detail.

Jason Stack, EdD, MBA

Jason Stack is the Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Retention at the School of Pharmacy. In his role, Jason oversees the recruitment of prospective students, assisting with the application process and providing additional support and guidance to enrolled School of Pharmacy students.
Jason joined the School of Pharmacy in 2015, and has been helping prospective students since then discover the wide array of careers available for School of Pharmacy graduates. Each year, Jason also plans and coordinates Pharmacy Exploration Day, a one-day summer camp program for high school students and current college students who are curious about the many career paths a Doctor of Pharmacy opens.

Andrew Gordon, Medical Student, WVU

Andrew Gordon is a second-year medical student at West Virginia University with the goal of working in preventative and lifestyle medicine to help his future patients understand the value of a heart-healthy lifestyle that includes exercise and nutrition in combating many common diseases.
His dedication to the work has led him to be only a few weeks away from receiving his white coat, which symbolizes the transition from basic sciences education to more clinical-based training.

Julianne Wolfe, PMP, PMSCP
Manager, Strategic Risk Adjustment Programs

Julianne Wolfe is a certified PMP and a seasoned project management professional with roots in analytical chemistry, laboratory management and criminal forensics. Graduating with a Chemistry degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Julianne focused her early career on analytical chemistry working from bench chemist to various laboratory management positions. She discovered the tenets of project management while exploring better ways to lead large research projects. Since then, Julianne has focused on project, program and portfolio management in scientific research, manufacturing, information technology and healthcare industries. She has applied her project management skills in various situations from small process improvement projects to large scale, global transformations. Julianne has become a power skills expert through these experiences and is a passionate leader in helping others hone these skills. She has been a member and active volunteer of PMI Pittsburgh for almost 10 years.

Lisa J. Mogaj, Ph.D.
Professor, Associate Dean, School of Science, Gannon University

As a physical chemist, I characterize the properties of materials and think about how to use them in new applications. I earned my PhD from the University of Rochester, where I studied how carbon nanotubes produce light. At Gannon, my research team is working to understand the prevalence and identity of nanoparticles in nearby Lake Erie. Our goal is to harvest these particles creatively and efficiently, so that they can be returned into a circular economy. I had a hard time choosing a major before college because I enjoyed many different subjects—I didn’t want to choose just one. One of the best surprises of my scientific career has been that I get to explore and develop interests across so many areas. Chemists leverage math to solve problems, read and write research papers, learn from the history of science, consider the economy, design figures and artwork for publications, travel to present at conferences, and more. But best of all, our work as chemists connects us as people because we can address issues that impact the health of our planet and fellow humans.

The Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) has cradle-to-grave responsibility for all naval nuclear propulsion matters and includes our civilian and military personnel who design, build, operate, maintain, and manage the nuclear-powered ships and other facilities of the U.S. nuclear-powered naval Fleet. We are government owned/contractor operated and manage research and engineering facilities devoted solely to naval nuclear propulsion work. With nearly 8,000 engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel, our mission is to develop the most advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology and to provide technical support for the continued safe, reliable operation of all existing naval reactors. We operate a prototype nuclear propulsion plant in New York for the operational testing of new designs and promising new technologies under typical operating conditions before introducing them to the Fleet.
